RCCG OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTION TUESDAY 4th JUNE, 2013 TURNING ONLOOKERS INTO HELPERS BY PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

Memorise: And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.Exodus 12:36

Read: Exodus 12:35-36
Bible in one year: Matthew 12-15

Once in a while, God changes His mind. If a sinner who was heading for hell truly repents of his sins and turns to God, He will change His mind. If the righteous that God had purposed to bless returns to his vomit and stays in sin, God will change His mind. It is good to know what God has said about something but better to know what God is saying right now about the same issue because, it is possible circumstances might have changed, and God too might have had a change of heart. It is only in few occasions that an individual touches God's heart in a very significant way that He vows unchangeably or even swears concerning that individual: in such situation, even the instability or weakness of the individual may not make God change His heart concerning him. In the name of Jesus, may the good plans God has for you and the good prophecies that have been spoken into your destiny remain unchanged. May you never provoke God to change His good intentions concerning you.
Moreover, beside favour's ability to convert the goods of your enemies into your spoils of war, favour can also write off your debts. Having gone through several plagues in quick succession, the Egyptians were prepared to pay any price to get rid of the Israelites. So by the time the Israelites were leaving for good, the Egyptians were not thinking of the money or treasures they had given them or the debts some of them might have owed. By God's favour on you this season, your debts will be written off. In addition to this, we also learn from Exodus 3:21-22 that when God's favour comes, people who were not willing to help you, will not only be too glad to help you, but will leave no stone unturned in their bid to help you. The children of Israel were about to set out on a journey and they had great needs for this long trip. Then they went to the same people they worked for, for 430 years without pay, and God gave them favour before them. What was the result? The Egyptians gave them everything they asked for concerning their trip. And if they have asked for more, they would have got it. This season, the favour of God will turn onlookers into your helpers. People will be willing to help you. People known and unknown to you will go to any extent in order to help you.

Prayer Point: Father, by Your favour on me today, make everyone who was unwilling to help me become restless until they help me reach my goal.
